Noelle Foley Had Her Breast Implants Removed After Discovering They Contained Formaldehyde

Speaking on Saraya’s “Rulebreakers” podcast, Noelle Foley detailed her decision to have her breast implants removed after concluding they were negatively affecting her health. She explained that she believes her body began reacting to the chemicals within the implants following a major concussion she sustained.

A year and a half into her struggle with post-concussion syndrome, Foley began to suspect her implants might be part of the problem. “I thought to myself, what if my breast implants have something to do with it?” she said. Her concerns, however, were initially dismissed by a top neurologist she consulted. Undeterred, Foley continued to research the issue as other medical treatments failed to provide relief.

She developed a theory that her concussion had altered her body’s chemistry. “I became sensitive to sound, light, smell,” she explained. “What if I’m getting sensitive to the materials and the chemicals that make up the implants?” Her research led her to find that implants are “made of 40 different toxic ingredients. Including formaldehyde.” Foley stated this discovery prompted her to move forward with explant surgery.

The removal surgery, an en bloc capsulectomy which is designed to take out the implant and the entire surrounding capsule of scar tissue, was an intense experience. “My implants were, like, stuck on my sides, so they had to, like, scrape it off,” she recalled, noting the sides of her chest were “so sore for months.” She confirmed to Saraya that the procedure helped improve her chronic headache symptoms.

Foley said she felt the concussion was “more like a boulder that broke the camel’s back,” which exposed an underlying issue she believed she had with the implants. The full story of her medical journey and decision-making process was detailed during her appearance on Saraya’s “Rulebreakers” podcast. Click below for the full interview.
