Saints revealed that eight years ago he was denied entry into WWE via email, but emphasized his persistence and belief in self-reliance. He declared that at the upcoming No Mercy event, he intends to win the NXT Championship.
TNA Champion Trick Williams entered the scene. Williams confronted Femi, stating that the NXT Championship rightfully belonged to him. He also dismissed Saints’ involvement, asserting that the rivalry between himself and Femi predates Saints’ arrival.
Host Grayson Waller suggested speaking with NXT General Manager Ava and TNA official Santino Marella to arrange a title-for-title match between Femi and Williams. The proposed bout would unify the NXT and TNA Championships, with the winner advancing to face Ricky Saints at No Mercy. Both champions agreed to the stipulation.
The episode concluded backstage with confirmation from Ava. She officially agreed to the NXT/TNA title unification match between Oba Femi and Trick Williams.
