NXT TakeOver going head-to-head with ROH next month

The NXT TakeOver show headlined by Finn Balor defending the NXT title against Kevin Owens will be going head-to-head with ROH. WWE is setting up the arena for 5,000 seats but they can adjust for more seats if the show sells out. As noted before, the reason Kevin Owens is headlining that show is because they need a top NXT name for a strong main event so they could have a strong showing for their largest NXT show to date.

WWE canceled the 8/22 house show in order to avoid competing with themselves. In addition to ROH and NXT, Pro Wrestling Syndicate will be running a show in Sayreville, NJ. That show will include Rey Mysterio, Kenny Omega, Sabu, Mick Foley, and “Superfly” Jimmy Snuka. Jim Ross will be doing his one-man show in Manhattan at the Gramercy Theater at 8pm.
