You can expect to see more NXT involvement on future WWE main roster pay-per-views.
The WrestleVotes insider news account is reporting that NXT will have a role at WrestleMania.
It’s already known that TakeOver is scheduled for WrestleMania weekend but the report notes that this is specifically about the actual WrestleMania pay-per-view at Raymond James Stadium.
This makes sense since WWE wants fans to know that NXT is now a main roster brand along with Raw and SmackDown.
I was told that fans should expect NXT involvement on the “big 4” pay-per-views – Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series. The idea is to keep NXT true to what it has been and the cross-promotion storylines will happen every few months to help boost the brand and, hopefully, boost the ratings.
The NXT involvement at Survivor Series was seen as a big success so fans will see more of that but only on the bigger WWE pay-per-views.
