WWE issued the following statement on Andrade:
“STAMFORD, Conn. — WWE has suspended Andrade (Manuel Oropeza) for 30 days effective immediately for a first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.”
As noted last night, Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that Andrade was told of his suspension on Monday morning and the reason why he was brutally attacked on Raw by Humberto Carrillo was to give a storyline reason for his absence from WWE television.
Andrade is still the United States Champion and his feud with Carrillo will continue after he serves his suspension. Click here for more on why the decision was made not to take the United States title away from Andrade.
As a result of the suspension, Zelina Vega will be off WWE television until Andrade returns.
