Brock Lesnar’s current run in WWE appears to be winding down and it looks like WWE is preparing for life without The Beast.
During the ads sent out on Saturday for the WWE Super Show-Down taking this October in Melbourne, Australia, Vince McMahon hyped that basically, every member of Raw and Smackdown Live would be appearing. The Big Show, Shawn Michaels, and Kurt Angle are the advertised legends for the show along with the final match between The Undertaker and Triple H. John Cen and Ronda Rousey are also booked for the show.
However, one name that is noticeably absent is WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. That is a clear sign that WWE either does not know what he will do after August or they are expecting him to leave for the UFC.
Dave Meltzer reported last week that the SummerSlam plans for Lesnar are not set in stone but the idea is for another Lesnar vs. Reigns match for the Universal Championship. If Lesnar is leaving then it is almost a lock that he will drop the title at SummerSlam, either to Reigns or whoever Vince McMahon decides will be his opponent.
As noted before, if Lesnar enters his name in the USADA testing pool by the end of this month then it would indicate that he will fight by late December. He would need to enter his name into the USADA drug testing pool and then serve out the 6 remaining months of his PED drug suspension.
Lesnar is not advertised for anything as of this writing (although he’ll probably be added to some Raw shows in August) and all signs point to him being done with WWE at SummerSlam.
