Opening Match For WWE SummerSlam – Night 2 Announced

With just hours to go before the final night of the biggest party of the summer, WWE has announced which championship match will kick off Night Two of SummerSlam. The show will open with the triple threat match for the Women’s World Championship.

Women’s World Title Triple Threat To Open The Show

WWE has confirmed that the first match of the night will see the new Women’s World Champion, Naomi, make her first premium live event title defense. Her opponents will be the two women she defeated to win the title, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY.

The rest of tonight’s card is loaded with five other championship matches, headlined by the highly-anticipated WrestleMania rematch between the champion and challenger. The full lineup for Sunday, August 3rd, is as follows:

  • Women’s World Championship: Naomi (c) vs. IYO SKY vs. Rhea Ripley

The second night of SummerSlam follows a chaotic Night One, which saw a shocking conclusion to the World Heavyweight Championship match. After CM Punk defeated GUNTHER to win the title, Seth Rollins immediately cashed in his Money in the Bank contract to become the new champion.
