Original plans for Big E at WWE WrestleMania 38
Big E was on his way to WWE WrestleMania before suffering a broken neck during a tag team match on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
As previously noted, the former WWE Champion worked a tag team match alongside Kofi Kingston against Sheamus and Ridge Holland where Big E landed on his head while taking a german suplex from Holland. He was stretched to the backstage area and taken to a hospital where it was determined that he suffered the injury.
Fightful Select noted in their report regarding WWE renaming Pete Dunne as Butch that WWE was planning to book a six-man tag team match between The New Day and Sheamus, Butch & Ridge Holland at WrestleMania.
