Orlando is actively pursuing the opportunity to host another WWE WrestleMania, alongside other events organized by TKO Group Holdings.
According to a report from the Sports Business Journal, the Orange County Commissioners have approved a significant allocation of funds to support the city’s bid. The commission voted to distribute $29.46 million in “tourist development tax sports incentive funds” across five different requests. Notably, $18 million of this sum is earmarked for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission to attract four major events from WWE and UFC in the future, with a bid for WrestleMania in 2031 being a central focus.
An additional allocation of up to $11 million is intended for Florida Citrus Sports to prepare Camping World Stadium as a temporary home for the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2027 NFL season, while their home stadium undergoes renovations.
Greater Orlando Sports Commission President & CEO Jason Siegel provided further details, stating that the events being pursued with these funds “may include about 10 to 12 shows at both the Kia Center and Camping World Stadium.” He also noted that the commission is currently “in the process of bidding on the events and the WWE is in conversation with roughly two dozen other cities on various events,” indicating a competitive landscape for hosting these high-profile shows.
Orlando has a history of hosting WrestleMania, having previously welcomed the event on two occasions: WrestleMania XXIV on March 30, 2008, and WrestleMania 33 on April 2, 2017. Both of these past WrestleManias were held at Camping World Stadium.
