Orlando Mayor is confident that the city will host another WrestleMania soon

As noted, Minneapolis, Minnesota was previously rumored to hold WrestleMania 33 in 2017, but Orlando, Florida is said to be very high on WWE’s list as there have been a lot of talk within the company about holding the event in the city.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer was asked by Jim Varsallone of the Miami Herald about the city potentially hosting WrestleMania again.

“We’re in a competition right now, and we understand it’s down to a handful of cities for 2017. We put in bids for both 2017 and 2018,” Dyer said.

“I was part of our proposal for the events as well (traveling to WWE HQ in Connecticut). I don’t think they’ve had many mayors who have come [to Stamford] to make the pitch for WrestleMania, so there’s some mutual admiration going on.”

WrestleMania 24 was held in the city back in 2008. It’s possible that WrestleMania will be held in Orlando in 2017 and Minneapolis in 2018.
