Orlando Mayor issues stay-at-home order, future WWE tapings at the Performance Center in doubt

Orange County, the central county of Orlando, Florida will order all residents to stay at home. This is the latest effort to contain the coronavirus and the order will take effect at 11 pm on Thursday night.

The order prohibits anyone from leaving their home unless they are making trips to work for essential business, the grocery store or the pharmacy.

The order will be in effect for two weeks, which essentially makes it much more difficult for WWE to tape television. Fortunately for WWE, all of the tapings leading up to WrestleMania will be done by today and WrestleMania matches will be taped tomorrow and Thursday just before the order takes effect.

There are at least 50 confirmed cases in the Orlando area. “It’s an understatement to say it’s spreading,” Mayor Jerry Demings said on Tuesday. He added that this is for the good of the country and added that TSA offers and medical professionals have been infected.

In addition to the pre-WrestleMania shows, WWE is also taping the Raw after Mania today so they have some time before they need to worry about the next set of shows.
