Every year when WWE does the Draft, they usually split up tag teams and 2020 wasn’t any different as Heavy Machinery is no longer a team.
While making an appearance on WWE’s The Bump today, Otis talked about his reaction to the news.
“It really hit us big time after Talking Smack, after hearing the news. As we walked away as being guests, we still hear Kayla [Braxton] saying no more Tucker and Otis Heavy Machinery. We’re walking to the back of the locker room, and legit I saw him just start wiping his face, and I’m like, oh man this is gonna be real.”
Otis talked about being a tag team with Tucker since 2016. He noted how Tucker has been a big brother to him since that time and traveling together all the time on the road.
Otis later added, “He’s the only guy I can really trust to have my back in the ring is Tucker, and for him not being there anymore is crushing, I’m still in shock. We came in, full tag team, one day, we’ll get the tag team titles. We didn’t get the titles in NXT. We lost two chances at the SmackDown Tag Team Titles. It’ll be bitter to sweet if we could one day come back together and win those Tag Team Championships.”
