Paige details the abuse she suffered from Alberto Del Rio

Paige made an appearance on GAW TV where she talked about various topics including the physical and mental abuse she endured by her ex-fiance Alberto Del Rio.

Del Rio was recently indicted by a grand jury and charged on counts of aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault. Paige and Del Rio had a domestic dispute after an incident at Orlando International Airport in 2017. After it, Paige denied he physically assaulted her. They broke up a few months later.

The group was talking about relationships and how Paige has gone through big changes in recent years to be the person she is today. This is where Paige started talking about how she’s more comfortable talking about the situation because he has been alleged of assault by another woman.

“People victim blame too which is crazy. I’ve never openly talked about my ex which is very out there. I’ve never talked about it, but it was very obvious what was happening, what I went through. In the beginning, you’re fighting back with this person.

She noted that it becomes a cycle of every few months, weeks and then gets to a point where it’s every day. She noted that it’s just not for an hour, but for hours.

“It gets to a stage where it’s up to 6-7 hours a day where you’re trapped in a certain room getting your ass beat every couple of minutes and he’s doing all these crazy things to you.”

She stated that she thought she would be stronger than being put in that type of situation because of her upbringing, but things change when you are in that situation. Paige noted that she never wanted to say anything because she wanted to stay away from the internet victim blame.

“Even if I don’t say anything, they’d be like, It’s partly your fault and ABC reasons why…. I’ve never spoken about it before, whether podcasts or interviews, I always stayed away. But now it’s completely out there. I’m like, ‘why am I shying away from this? Why am I not brave enough to talk about it?’

I’ll never say his name again because he’s voldemort to me. Karama, whatever is happening to him, karma is a real thing. What you put out is what you receive and right now he’s receiving it.”
