Parents of superfan Izzy reportedly responsible for WWE NXT fans turning on MSK

For months, there have been stories going around on Reddit about MSK getting booed at NXT TV tapings for seemingly no reason. Despite being one of the most talented wrestlers on the roster, there is a vocal group of fans that have attempted to sabotage them every time they make an appearance. According to the Reddit posts, superfan Izzy and her parents Cody and Jenny Silagyi have been leading the boos and sabotaging MSK. For those of you unaware, Izzy first started appearing ringside at NXT shows a few years ago as Bayley’s superfan.

Dave Meltzer said the following on the story on Wrestling Observer Radio:

“I got a couple of versions of [the story] but the version going around is basically correct. I think the short version of it rather than go into big details of people say in line is that there are people there, including the parents of Izzy, who are mad because in 2018 Zachary Wentz before he was Nash Carter when he was an independent wrestler and others including Lance Storm and Chealsea Green made comments that were negative about Izzy taking a chokeslam at an independent show when she was 13  years old… so [Carter] shows up at NXT and her parents start the crowd to go against him and they got a lot of friends and everyone knows everyone. There’s like 200 people there and they’re pretty much all invited and it’s the same people every week…”

“It’s enough of those people that they’re booing them. They’re gonna boo MSK, that’s their deal so that’s the basic story on why. It’s not like it’s some organic thing. It was enough people that they can make it boo because it’s such a small building.”

Bodyslam.net also confirmed the story and a regular who attends NXT shows confirmed the story to WrestlingNews.co.

Here is what Chelsea Green said in 2018 about Izzy taking the chokeslam spot:

I don’t agree with Izzy taking bumps, let alone being chokeslammed. It’s unfortunate that others felt differently. It’s also unfortunate her first match wasn’t at the school she’s trained at, where she is protected. But, we live and we learn. I hope promoters take note. ♥️

Green confirmed that a group of fans tried to sabotage her when she was in NXT:
