Pat McAfee Says He Has ‘Some Things To Say’ On WWE SmackDown

Pat McAfee is heading to SmackDown with something on his mind. On Wednesday, McAfee announced that The Pat McAfee Show will not air on Thursday or Friday this week, as he will be in San Jose for SmackDown.

“Friday night, live from San Jose. I think I got some things to say. I think we will have a good time there on SmackDown,” McAfee said.

McAfee was revealed as Randy Orton’s ally on last week’s SmackDown, where he took part in an attack on Cody Rhodes. During the segment, McAfee claimed that Orton will “save the business” by winning his 15th championship at WrestleMania 42. He has continued to address the angle throughout this week’s episodes of The Pat McAfee Show.

The alliance places McAfee in a direct collision course with Rhodes heading into WrestleMania 42. Orton, with McAfee in his corner, is set to challenge Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the night one main event on April 18. The build has been one of the more prominent storylines heading into the event, with McAfee’s involvement adding an outside element to the championship picture.

This week’s SmackDown takes place at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. It will be the final SmackDown before WrestleMania 42. No matches or additional segments have been announced beyond McAfee’s appearance.
