It’s safe to assume WWE’s Paul Heyman isn’t a fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brock Lesnar’s longtime WWE advocate has been uttering the phrase “Eat, Sleep, Conquer, Repeat” on WWE TV for the past several years. In fact, Lesnar has merchandise sporting the exact catchphrase. Now, the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers have decided to “borrow” the mantra.
Heyman took to Twitter and pointed out that the Buccaneers are using the mantra in an extremely lightly modified way. Their t-shirt reads “Eat, Sleep, Bucs, Repeat.” Heyman took to Twitter to call the NFL franchise out for “stealing” his catchphrase and demanded royalties:
“It’s nice to know that almost 5 years since I said #EatSleepConquerRepeat as the mantra for @BrockLesnar on @WWE #RAW, major companies and teams like the @Buccaneers are still “borrowing” (blatantly stealing) the catchphrase. Send us our royalties, please!”
