Paul Heyman On Bloodline Attack In Madison Square Garden: ‘It’s What Had To Be Done’

In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, wrestling mastermind Paul Heyman addressed the brutal attack he suffered at the hands of The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu in the hallowed Madison Square Garden. The incident, which saw Heyman violently put through a table, has been a significant talking point in the ongoing storyline involving Roman Reigns and his dominant faction.

Reflecting on the shocking moment, Heyman stated matter-of-factly, “It’s what had to be done. It’s what the story called for. It’s what was needed, and certainly, based on the reaction to this day, it was what people were expecting.”

Heyman further elaborated on the extreme nature of the assault, emphasizing the intended impact. “People didn’t think we’d go to that degree. SOLO needed to, and Jacob Fatu needed to, and Tama Tonga needed to, and Tonga Loa needed to. That rogue Bloodline had to go so over the top, so grotesque, so unheard of, and they had to do it in Madison Square Garden.”
