Paul Heyman was in charge of Monday’s WWE Raw, top officials absent

Paul Heyman was in charge of Monday’s WWE Raw in Knoxville, Tennessee at the Thompson-Boling Arena on the USA Network, according to a report by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet.

Michael Mansury, who is WWE’s VP of Global Television production, filled in for Dunn.

The reason for this was due to Vince McMahon, Kevin Dunn and Triple H not being at the show.

The report noted that Triple H is in Orlando to prepare for the premiere episode of NXT on the USA Network this week.

Regarding Dunn and McMahon not being there, there’s no word yet on why they were absent. This wasn’t the first time that McMahon has missed a Raw TV event. It should be noted that McMahon still oversaw the script of the show.

The WWE Chairman and CEO stated on the latest conference call that he hired Heyman and Eric Bischoff as Executive Directors in order for him not to have to get “in the weeds” as much as he’s done in the past.
