People In AEW Believe Mariah May Is Heading To WWE

Mariah May signed with All Elite Wrestling in November 2023 and had a highly praised rivalry with Toni Storm in 2024, even winning the Women’s Title at All In before later losing it back to Storm. Their feud wrapped up at March’s Revolution pay-per-view, with Storm winning their ‘Hollywood Ending’ match.

May has not appeared on TV since then. A recent report has indicated a belief within AEW that May’s contract is set to expire this summer.

While discussing May’s future on Wrestling Observer Radio, it was noted that those in AEW believe she is likely WWE-bound. This speculation aligns with reports about WWE’s interest in May.

Dave Meltzer: “She put a post up, basically saying that I forgot the exact words, but it was saying like there are no mistakes on your journey because you want to get to where you want to be or something. It’s all part of the trip of getting to where you want to be. She had a photo of Orlando, Florida, and I know from people in WWE that they know she wants to go there. I think people saw that cryptic thing. I don’t know when her contract is up. Everyone seems to think it’s the summer that it’s up.”

Bryan Alvarez: “I was given the impression it was a two-year deal that she signed originally. So I guess you can do the math.”

Meltzer: “That would be the summer.”

Alvarez: “But I have heard the same thing that at least in AEW, there’s a belief that she’s heading to WWE.”
