People In WWE Dislike The Three-Hour Format Of SmackDown, Think Quality Of The Show Has Dipped

WWE SmackDown will not remain a three-hour program permanently. WWE announced the show would go from a two-hour format to three on the USA Network starting on the January 3rd episode, and since then, many fans have felt the show has suffered as a result.

Triple H shared on The Pat McAfee Show that the show would return to two hours. WrestleVotes first reported that the show is expected to return to a two-hour program in June.

During the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, several people in the company noted that the show’s product has suffered since going to three hours and that they dislike the format.

“We are told several within the company strongly dislike the three-hour SmackDown format, as those sources feel like the quality of the show has dipped in the last two months. Prior to the expansion, there was optimism and belief that some underutilized talent would be able to shine, considering the extra hour. However, that has not come to fruition as of yet. SmackDown is still scheduled to return to two hours come this June.”
