As noted earlier this week, Paige has not wrestled since late June. She’s been out of action with a shoulder injury and her mother Saraya Knight went on twitter to shoot down rumors circulating about her daughter.
Paige is scheduled to be re-evaluated on 8/15 and the injuries (she is said to also be dealing with a back injury) are not that serious.
Despite what is said/not said publicly, there are issues with Paige and there was no reason for her to be split with boyfriend Alberto Del Rio on opposite brands especially since their relationship has been so public. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that just a few weeks ago, insiders within the company were very worried about her status but her being off the road is injury related.
A few days ago I was told by someone that knows Paige that there was no concern about her WWE future. I guess it all depends on what her issues are and how WWE wants to handle things. Whatever the issues are, we wish her the best.
