Following his AEW debut, many people, including those in WWE, believe Triple H missed out by not signing Will Ospreay, and it could be due to money.
Options
Ospreay had interest from plenty of promotions bidding for his services, including WWE, AEW, and TNA, before opting to sign with AEW, where an announcement was made official at Full Gear in November, with him starting full-time at AEW Revolution.
In his debut match, he went over Kyle Fletcher. He is slated to work with Bryan Danielson at Dynasty next month.
Past talks
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that some people in WWE think Triple H gave him a lowball offer.
Meltzer wrote, “It should be noted we were told by WWE in November when Ospreay made the deal with AEW that while nobody would say it publicly, they said Paul Levesque made an offer way too low.”
