CJ Perry (Lana in WWE) is launching a new podcast called “Identity Crisis,” which is set to premiere on November 3. Her co-host for the new show will be film producer Jonathan Saba.
According to the show’s description, it will feature “2 professional fakers who’ve made a living playing the part!” The first guest for the premiere episode will be Perry’s husband, Rusev.
This comes during a busy time for the couple, as both re-signed with WWE in April 2025. Rusev returned to WWE TV that same day, while Perry signed a legends deal and has not yet appeared on programming.
Rusev is currently scheduled for a major championship match. He will challenge Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat Match that also includes Penta at the WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1.
CJ Perry signed with WWE in 2013 and debuted on NXT as Lana, the “social ambassador” for Rusev. Adopting an anti-American gimmick, she managed Rusev to the United States Championship. In 2015, she turned her back on Rusev and aligned with Dolph Ziggler, though she later reunited with Rusev after their real-life engagement.
Lana made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 32 and was drafted to SmackDown in 2017 to start her singles career, unsuccessfully challenging Naomi for the Women’s Championship. Her later storylines included a prominent romance with Bobby Lashley, being the sole survivor for Team Raw at Survivor Series 2020, and teaming with Naomi. She was released in June 2021.
Perry debuted in AEW as “CJ” in September 2023 at All Out, coming to the aid of her husband, Miro. She began managing Andrade El Idolo in November 2023, but turned on him at Worlds End in December to re-align with Miro. This was her final AEW appearance.
