Perry Saturn Has Been In And Out Of The Hospital With Respiratory Issues

Perry Saturn was in and out of the hospital last week with respiratory issues and has since been discharged, according to a video posted Tuesday on his YouTube channel.

Maven filled in for Saturn on the video. Chase, who records the channel’s interviews with Saturn, said they were scheduled to record on Monday, October 5, the day the channel posted its Paul London interview, when Saturn texted him that he wasn’t feeling well and asked to push it back a day.

“Tuesday came around and he ended up going into the hospital,” Chase said. “He’s been having some, we’ll call it, respiratory issues, and it’s a whole slew of respiratory issues. He ended up in and out of the hospital pretty much all of last week.”

Chase said nobody close to Saturn could reach him for a couple of days.

“We could not even get in touch with him for a couple of days,” Chase said. “I was talking to you, I was talking to Sonny Onoo, who’s very close with Perry, and we were all very concerned, calling constantly. Luckily he surfaced last night, had just been discharged.”

Chase said Saturn “seems to be on the right track now,” but that it could be “at least a few days, if not another week or maybe even over a week” before he is able to record again. He said he texted Saturn for his approval before making the video.

“We don’t want to overshare about what he’s going through and all that, but we do want to let people know,” Chase said. “He is going through some medical stuff right now. He will be back.”

Chase said another video with Maven is planned for this week, and that he hopes to have Saturn back next week. Maven introduced Saturn to Chase, which led to the channel.

Last month, Saturn said on Insight with Chris Van Vliet that blood clots in his lungs after two hip replacements led to congestive heart failure, and that he got out of breath walking across a room. He also said income from his YouTube channel had taken him off disability. Saturn turns 60 on October 25.

We wish Perry Saturn a full recovery.
