WWE star Asuka hinted at a big Damage CTRL reunion before the May 16th SmackDown, after being off TV since May 2024. “The Empress of Tomorrow” shared an Instagram photo with her stablemates, Women’s World Champion IYO SKY and Kairi Sane, sparking talk of her return.
Kairi Sane has also been missing from WWE TV since December 2024. The potential reunion comes after Dakota Kai, another former member, was released by WWE earlier this month.
Asuka’s post has fans excited for Damage CTRL’s possible comeback. Asuka is currently sidelined due to a knee injury suffered in May 2024. She had surgery and is undergoing rehabilitation, with her return timeline expected to be any week now.
WWE had considered her for WrestleMania 41 and discussed creative plans, indicating a long-term strategy for her return.
