PHOTO: Becky Lynch Looks Nearly Unrecognizable In ‘Star Trek: Starfleet Academy’ Role

Becky Lynch, who spent a large chunk of 2024 away from WWE for acting commitments, has promoted her role in a new television show, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, with Collider sharing a first look at her character. The new show is scheduled for release on January 15, 2026, on Paramount+.

Lynch shared the article on X/Twitter with a very un-modest description. Her post, promoting the upcoming series, read, “Everyone’s FAVORITE wrestler turned actor will be starring in one of the most ICONIC franchises in TV history. Star Trek: Starfleet Academy premieres in January on Paramount+. You can get a sneak peek of just how AMAZING I look here. Small correction Collider, I’m not one of WWE’s biggest stars, I’M THE BIGGEST!”.

The Collider report confirmed Lynch plays a Starfleet officer in the upcoming spin-off and is a part of the Operations Gold bridge crew, sporting a bob with blue streaks in her hair. The show features a big name director and actors, including Holly Hunter, an Academy Award winner, and Paul Giamatti, an Academy Award nominee, who plays the half-Klingon/half-Tellarite villain, Nus Braka. Lynch had previously stated that she loved getting to play opposite Holly Hunter and Paul Giamatti, noting how good they are.

The wrestler-turned-actor’s busy acting schedule was the reason for her time away from WWE in 2024. Since returning to the company, she recently dropped the Women’s Intercontinental Title to Maxxine Dupri in a bout at Madison Square Garden.
