CM Punk recently got a new tattoo to honor the late Harley Race
The WWE Hall of Famer passed away in 2019. Punk often spoke highly of Race and looked up to him. When he was WWE Champion, he noted during his famous interview on Colt Cabana’s podcast that in various situations he would wonder what Race would do then make a decision.
When Race passed away, Punk made it known that since he was such a big part of his career, he thought the pro wrestling legend deserved to be memorialized. Now, that has happened.
Chicago tattoo artist Nick Colella shared on Instagram that he was doing the piece. He wrote the following in the caption:
“Stoked to do this memorial for pro wrestler Harley Race on his friend @cmpunk thanks for the trust.”
Race had been dealing with various health issues over the last several years including a battle with lung cancer.
