WWE has booked a Cage Fight between Matt Riddle and Timothy Thatcher for tonight’s episode of NXT on the USA Network in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University.
To further build up this contest, WWE is using WWE Hall of Famer and pro wrestling legend Kurt Angle to serve as the special guest referee of the match.
Ahead of the contest, Angle took to his official Instagram account to show off the first look at the structure, which is quite interesting. It appears to be a normal steel cage around the ring with a walkway structure above it that way they can fight and perhaps someone takes a bump off of it onto the ring.

As noted, this could be the last if not one of the last matches that Riddle works under the NXT banner as he’s slated to be moved to the main roster soon. For more on this and which brand he’s expected to be used on, click here.
Regarding Angle, who was one of the many talent and staff members released by WWE last month, he’s in a situation where WWE can use him for any appearances they see fit until his non-compete clause expires.
Angle was working as a producer for the company prior to being let go but it’s been reported that many producers were furloughed with the idea of some of them being brought back once the company starts to run more shows in the future.
