WWE star Liv Morgan has undergone successful shoulder surgery and is beginning her rehabilitation. The news was confirmed by physical therapist Kevin Wilk of Champion Sports Medicine, who posted a photo with Morgan on Saturday.
The 31-year-old sustained the injury on the June 16 episode of Monday Night Raw during a match against Kairi Sane. Wilk confirmed he will be helping Morgan with her recovery following the procedure, which was performed at the renowned Andrews Sports Medicine in Birmingham, Alabama.
“Awesome honor & pleasure to be helping @wwe superstar @yaonlylivvonce with her shoulder rehabilitation… 👉 Fantastic athlete, dedicated & great to work with ! 🙌 This @wwe superstar will be back & back even better ! 💪 👉 Outstanding athlete ! 👉 Surgery performed by @dugasmd1 of @andrews_sports_medicine,” Wilk wrote on Instagram.
Morgan’s injury came at an unfortunate time, as she was in the middle of a developing storyline with the returning Nikki Bella. The program began on the June 9 episode of Raw and was building towards a major match at the WWE Evolution 2 premium live event on July 13. The original plans were reportedly for either a singles match between Morgan and Nikki Bella, or a tag team match pitting Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez against The Bella Twins.
