WWE Friday Night SmackDown is about to change with not only a new timeslot but also a logo.
It was previously announced that SmackDown will begin on USA Network on Friday, September 13, an earlier than originally expected move after the two sides announced a five-year deal for when SmackDown’s rights are up with FOX.
Originally, the show was supposed to move in October. FOX was going to move several September episodes of SmackDown to FS1 due to college football. USA signed off on agreeing to take SmackDown earlier.
The network is in more US homes than FS1. This comes before Raw is slated to leave the USA for Netflix in January, while NXT goes to the CW Network in October. As usual with network premieres, SmackDown will have a loaded-up card.
As seen below, the USA Network website displays a new logo for SmackDown. It should be noted that WWE.com has yet to display the logo.
