CM Punk will always be linked to the pro wrestling business and his time in the WWE. It’s part of his legacy despite making the transition to the world of MMA as not only a fighter but also a commentator.
During the most recent episode of The Edge and Christian Show on the WWE Network, they aired a segment where CM Punk’s name was censored as it was crossed out. Here’s a screenshot:

Once he signed with the WWE, his career took off as he would later hold several championships including the WWE Title. However, after dealing with injuries and lacking the desire to wrestle anymore, Punk decided to walk out of the company on the Monday following the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in 2014.
This was the last time he was associated with the company as he later received his termination papers on his wedding day. He later took his talents to the Octagon in the UFC.
