Shinsuke Nakamura reunited with a former WWE star while in Japan after working the Pro Wrestling NOAH The New Year 2023 event for a match against The Great Muta.
IWGP Women’s Champion KAIRI (formerly known as Kairi Sane) had recently spoken about Nakamura’s match in Japan, and they met up on January 1st.
KAIRI posted photos of the moment on her official Twitter account. She also shared photos from 2018. The text of the tweet translates as:
“2023 ⇆ 2018. Thank you very much for the miracle, the heart-trembling match.”
Nakamura beat Muta at the show as the match was part of The Great Muta’s retirement tour.
KAIRI will defend the IWGP Women’s Title against Tam Nakano this Wednesday at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.
