Judgment Day has come a long way from the initial concept, and more changes are headed toward the group.
It was originally a group led by Edge, with him bringing in the likes of Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley. The WWE Hall of Famer wanted out of the group, leading to Finn Balor replacing him, and they later added Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Carlito has also been associated with the group as of late.
At its peak, it became a top act, the faction being one of WWE’s biggest draws on television. However, coming out of SummerSlam, there’s been a split among members.
Balor cost Priest his world title against Gunther at SummerSlam. Also, at this event, Dominik turned his back on Ripley by aligning with Liv Morgan and helping her beat Ripley to retain her Women’s World Title.
WrestleVotes reported today that a rebrand of the group is in motion, and a new name is coming.
Plans are in motion to rebrand the ‘new’ Judgment Day. Sources say the group’s essence will stay the same, but a name change is likely. The leading candidate is an out-of-the-box, yet bold idea: ‘Street Trash.’
