Plans for the WWE champion at SummerSlam; Daniel Bryan plans

The way things are looking right now, WWE has the top of the SummerSlam card set. Daniel Bryan is still listed on the card as one of the main events but it's still not a sure thing that he'll be able to wrestle by then. The company believes he'll be back by SummerSlam or Night of Champions on Sepember 21st. They are not expecting him to be back for the Battleground pay-per-view next month. It's a pretty sure thing that the match at SummerSlam will not be Daniel Bryan vs. Brock Lesnar. The idea for the fall storyline would be for Lesnar to return because he wanted to be champion so that means Lesnar will face whoever the WWE champion is at SummerSlam. If somehow Bryan can return by Battleground then they could always put the title on him on that show and then have him face Lesnar at SummerSlam but that's not likely.

Since Brock is set to challenge for the title then that would seem to indicate that a babyface would win the Money In The Bank title match. That would be John Cena or Roman Reigns but they could always give it to Cesaro and have him turn face too. Bryan is being advertised for shows in Mid-August but not yet for SummerSlam. Again, that could easily be scrapped if he's not ready to return.
