Plans for today’s WWE SmackDown tapings, NXT stars to appear?

There has been a change made to the plans for today’s WWE SmackDown TV tapings in Orlando at the Performance Center.

Over the past few months, WWE has been taping two episodes of its weekly television show on FOX on Tuesdays. Coming into today, the belief that the schedule would remain the same as an episode would be taped for this Friday and another episode for next week.

However, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select has been able to confirm that WWE will be taping one episode of SmackDown and an episode of 205 Live.

It was also noted that “both Danny Burch and Killian Dain were set for the tapings, in conjunction with a storyline with Baron Corbin.” Sapp added that he wasn’t sure whether these NXT stars would actually appear as originally planned due to delays.

As noted, it was described as a chaotic setting at Monday’s Raw TV tapings and had several re-writes to the scripts of those shows.

Gary Cassidy of SportsKeeda also heard that WWE had made a change to the SmackDown tapings schedule and passed along some details:

“I’m told today’s SmackDown tapings schedule has changed. Instead of taping two episodes, apparently only one episode will be taped today.”

“Thus far unclarified, but I’m hearing this may be as a direct result of how late the #WWERAW taping for next week went last night.”
