Positive News On Chelsea Green’s Injury Status

There is positive news regarding the severity of Chelsea Green’s injury following a scare on SmackDown. While the WWE superstar was seen in a walking boot over the weekend, a new report suggests she has avoided a major fracture.

According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the internal belief within the company is that Green’s injury is a sprain rather than a break. “In asking around this morning, the belief within WWE is that Chelsea Green suffered a bad sprain but did not break her foot or ankle,” Johnson reported.

No Timetable Yet

Despite avoiding a fracture, it remains unclear when Green will be cleared to return to the ring. The report noted that her recovery timeline is currently unknown. “There is no word how long she will be out of action,” Johnson added.

The injury occurred during a three-way Elimination Chamber qualifying match on the February 6 episode of WWE SmackDown against Tiffany Stratton and Lash Legend. Commentary noted the injury during the broadcast, and Green missed a scheduled AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship defense on Saturday’s AAA on Fox.

Green appeared via FaceTime during the AAA broadcast to reveal she was in a walking boot and unable to compete. She was replaced by La Hiedra, who teamed with Ethan Page in a losing effort against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana, resulting in a title change. Following the loss, Green vented her frustration on social media.
