Positive News On Drew McIntyre After Injury Scare

Drew McIntyre is reportedly doing well despite a dangerous moment during his United States Championship match at WWE Backlash last night. WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque provided an update during the post-event press conference.

Triple H stated that McIntyre is “a little banged up” but totally fine following the incident. The scare occurred during the chaotic Fatal Four-Way match for the US Title when Damian Priest delivered a South of Heaven to McIntyre off a platform through tables below, with McIntyre’s head reportedly missing a table and hitting the concrete floor hard.

Initial reports from PWInsider.com indicated McIntyre was being evaluated by WWE medical personnel immediately after the match, and Bryan Alvarez later reported he was being checked for a concussion. Triple H’s comments suggest any potential injury was not severe.

The spot temporarily took both McIntyre and Priest out of the contest, which also featured interference from Solo Sikoa and the debuting Jeff Cobb. Jacob Fatu ultimately retained his United States Championship by pinning LA Knight. Fans will be relieved by Triple H’s positive update on the Scottish Warrior’s condition.
