After weeks of building to it, WWE made the triple threat match with WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY vs. Bianca Belair vs. Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 41 official.
Once the news was announced in a segment in the ring, SKY hit a springboard drop kick to the back of Ripley, who went flying into Belair. Ripley’s face seemed to hit Belair in the shoulder hard. This caused concerns about Ripley from fans, considering she broke her orbital bone last year.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful addressed the situation during his post-Raw show, noting that Ripley was said to be okay.
“IYO SKY hits a springboard dropkick on Rhea. At the time, I was like, ‘Oh my God, is Rhea going to make it to this match?’ Fractured orbital, broken nose, whatever it might be. The people I spoke to backstage said she seemed all right, in good spirits and all that good stuff. But it was definitely one of those moments where a lot of people went, ‘Oh s**t, is she okay?’ Tough woman.”
