Positive update from WWE’s Big E

Big E has kept fans in the loop since suffering a broken neck and fractures to his C1 and C6 vertebrae earlier this year.

In a post on Twitter, the former WWE Champion noted that his C1 isn’t forming bone just yet, but the current plan is to get more scans at the one-year mark (next year) from the day he suffered the injury. Big E also mentioned that doesn’t have to undergo surgery.

He wrote, “Update! My C1 isn’t ossifying (forming bone) quite yet. The current plan is to get more scans at the one year mark & see how it’s progressing. The great news is I feel tremendous & surgery is off the table.”

The injury happened when he took a belly-to-belly suplex by Ridge Holland outside the ring on an episode of SmackDown. He narrowly avoided paralysis and potentially death.

We hope that Big E can make a full recovery and step back into the squared circle.
