Possible indication that Shinsuke Nakamura will be called up to WWE main roster soon, NXT returning to UK
Triple H announced on Wednesday morning that NXT would be returning to the Download Festival in the UK from June 5 – 11. Tickets will go on sale this Friday. What’s interesting about this announcement is the poster, which Triple H tweeted out as seen below, due to it missing one top star. Former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura is not on the poster, which may indicate that his time in the developmental brand is coming to an end.

Nakamura, who signed with WWE last year, is scheduled to face NXT Champion Bobby Roode for the championship at NXT Takeover: Orlando on Saturday, April 1st at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. It’s possible that if Nakamura loses the match, then he could make his main roster debut on the episode of RAW after WrestleMania, which historically has been a show where WWE calls up NXT talents to the main roster.
