WWE is looking at SummerSlam as its next big pay-per-view event and rightfully so as it’s considered among the big four shows each year that WWE presents alongside WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and Survivor Series.
It was reported last week that WWE is expecting to have fans in attendance for SummerSlam, which has been the belief among most fans considering the event takes place in August. The hope is the majority country will be vaccinated by then.
Pwinsider.com reports there has been talk within WWE about possibly holding the show in Phoenix, Arizona, or somewhere in Texas. The company hasn’t made a final decision on the location just yet because they would like to have the show at an outdoor stadium.
WWE plans to air their weekly television shows and the next few pay-per-view events from the Yuengling Center in Tampa, FL.
The company had planned to hold last year’s SummerSlam at TD Garden in Boston, but that was nixed to the COVID-19 pandemic.
