The WWE creative team has been pushing for Braun Strowman to wrestle Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 32. WWE had The Wyatt Family beat down Lesnar on this past Monday’s episode of RAW.
According to Pwinsider.com, WWE wanted to get momentum behind Bray Wyatt going into WrestleMania, and that is why they did the angle on RAW as well as set up a possible match between Strowman and Lesnar.
It was reported in last week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE does not have an opponent for Lesnar at the event and, despite rumors going around, Kevin Owens is not in the discussion to be his opponent at the event.
The Strowman vs. Lesnar match may be disappointing to some but WWE has very little options right now with so many top names injured.
