Former WWE Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss is scheduled to be present at tonight’s Friday Night SmackDown taping in Dayton, Ohio, PWInsiderElite.com has confirmed. Bliss last appeared on WWE programming at the Elimination Chamber event earlier this year.
While her presence backstage is confirmed, the report notes that “Whether she appears or not [on camera] remains to be seen.” However, it’s suggested that “obviously she’s not there for no reason,” indicating a potential purpose for her being at the venue.
Bliss inked a new deal with WWE around the Royal Rumble weekend in January 2025 and has made three televised appearances since re-signing. Her absence from WrestleMania 41 was reportedly due, at least in part, to creative plans intending to link her with the mysterious “The Wyatt Sicks” faction. These plans were said to be awaiting the right time to commence.
It is currently unclear if WWE is still moving forward with that specific creative direction for Bliss.
