WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is in Boston, Massachusetts, ahead of tonight’s Monday Night Raw, according to PWInsiderElite.com. As of now, there is no word on whether Rhodes will be appearing on the broadcast.
Rhodes is not the only star in town for the show, which emanates from the TD Garden. Nia Jax and Lash Legend are also in Boston ahead of the taping. They could be in town to get involved in the Women’s Tag Team Title Match on Raw.
John Cena’s Final Boston Appearance
The show is already a stacked card, as it will be John Cena’s final appearance in his hometown. WWE has confirmed that Cena will open the broadcast to kick off the “Last Time Is Now” tournament, a 16-man tournament to determine his final opponent for his retirement match in December. He is also expected to wrestle on the show. In addition to Cena, World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk is scheduled to appear.
Championship Matches
Two championship bouts are scheduled for tonight. The WWE Women’s World Champion, Stephanie Vaquer, is set to defend her title against Raquel Rodriguez. Additionally, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair, will defend their belts against The Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane).
