A backstage interaction between Jade Cargill and Rhea Ripley took place during tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
The segment began with Rhea Ripley speaking to Nia Jax and Lash Legend. Legend told Ripley that “things are changing” regarding the women’s division. Ripley asked if the comment was a threat and stated that Jax did not want to deal with her (appears to be a WrestleMania match tease for Jade vs. Rhea). Ripley added that she and Iyo Sky would pursue the Women’s Tag Team Championships when they decided the time was right. Damian Priest then entered the frame and told Ripley this was the energy he was looking for.
During the exchange, Jade Cargill walked past the group. She paused briefly to look at Ripley before walking away without speaking.
Later in the show, Michin participated in a backstage interview. She stated that Cargill has been “picking on” the locker room and that she hates a bully. Michin said she intended to give everything she had to Cargill.
Cargill interrupted the interview by attacking Michin in the Gorilla position. Cargill delivered a kick and threw Michin into the wall before making her entrance.
Inside the ring, Cargill addressed the roster, stating that people need to stop “trying her.” She added that “anyone can get stepped on” when women “don’t know their place.” Michin interrupted, entering the ring with a kendo stick and striking Cargill several times. Michin then pulled a table from under the ring.
Cargill responded with a bicycle kick. She placed the table back under the ring before sending Michin back inside the squared circle. The segment ended with Cargill delivering a chokeslam to Michin and standing over her.
