Powerhouse Hobbs Makes WWE Debut At Royal Rumble

Powerhouse Hobbs has officially arrived in WWE. During the Men’s Royal Rumble match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, the former AEW star made his debut under the new name “Royce Keys.” Entering the match at the number 14 spot, Keys joined a chaotic field.

A Turbulent Start

The match began with Oba Femi and Bron Breakker scheduled as the first two entrants. However, the contest started with controversy as Breakker was attacked by a masked man during his entrance. The assailant hit Breakker with a curbstomp before throwing him into the ring, where Oba Femi immediately capitalized by clotheslining him. The early portion of the match saw Femi assert his dominance. After Solo Sikoa entered at number 3 and Rey Mysterio at number 4, former WWE star Rusev made his return at number 5. Rusev was quickly eliminated by Femi, who then proceeded to eliminate both Mysterio and Sikoa.

Surprise Entrants And Eliminations

The match featured several other returns and surprises. Matt Cardona entered at number 6 but was quickly eliminated after taking a powerbomb. Damian Priest entered at number 7, followed by Je’Von Evans at number 8. A unique entrant, Mr. Iguana, appeared at number 9 but was eliminated by Trick Williams, who entered at number 10 and received a strong reaction from the crowd. Cody Rhodes entered at number 11 and immediately “cleaned house,” eliminating Williams.

The Battle Of The Americanos

A storyline twist occurred with the entries of “El Grande Americano” and “The Original El Grande Americano,” the latter revealed to be Chad Gable. The two masked wrestlers fought each other, with Gable successfully eliminating the other El Grande Americano. However, Gable’s victory was short-lived, as he was subsequently eliminated by Je’Von Evans. Following this sequence, Powerhouse Hobbs, now known as Royce Keys, made his entrance, marking a new chapter in his career.
