Tonight’s episode of WWE Smackdown Live will take place at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.
Here is what they have scheduled for tonight:
Shinsuke Nakamura will kick off tonight’s show with a special interview. Nakamura will challenge Jinder Mahal for the WWE Championship on Sunday night at Hell in a Cell.
There will be an in-ring segment with Kevin Owens and Shane McMahon. It will be the first time that they will be face-to-face since Owens’ attack on Vince McMahon.
The Usos plan on reading The New Day their rights ahead of their Hell in a Cell match on Sunday night.
Once again, Tye Dillinger will face Baron Corbin.
There’s another Fashion Police segment scheduled for tonight.
Sister Abigail’s identity revealed?
As seen this week on Monday Night Raw, the Bray Wyatt feud with Finn Balor continued but, in an attempt to keep things interesting, it was revealed that Sister Abigail will be appearing soon, presumably at the TLC pay-per-view.
Wyatt told Balor that Abigail is alive and “she is dying to see you.” Well, WWE NXT star Sage Beckett (formerly Rosie Lottalove in TNA Wrestling) posted the following on her Twitter account after the Wyatt/Balor segment:
— Sage (@SageBeckettWWE) October 3, 2017
Mike Rotunda, the real-life sister of Bray Wyatt, will likely not be playing the role but that didn’t stop fans from speculating and asking her on Twitter:
Today, I woke up to no less than 150 tweets asking me if I'm Sister Abigail.

Alicia Fox gives a candid interview: “sometimes I feel embarrassed of my career”
Alicia Fox is the latest guest on the “Chasing Glory with Lilian Garcia” podcast.
“I guess like sometimes I feel embarrassed of my career in a sense because like when the fans come up and they’re like ‘oh underrated or this or that.’ I never really realized that until social media popped up and it’s like then I’m left thinking am I underrated? Why don’t I get – like I’m one of the only girls that don’t have any merch. I never have any merch like. Even when the Bella Twins and I were together it was still team Bella. I never complained about any of those things because I’m like in my head ‘it’s ok, it’s ok.’ You know it’s a lot of fluffy content thinking. But you know maybe it’s not ok. But then it gets me upset and angry because then I’m thinking well you know, what will my next chapter look like? Is it gonna be ok if I’m not putting food on my table or whatever or my career is at the control of someone else?”
Later in the interview, she said, “My self-dialogue is so intense sometimes I don’t even wanna be near me but only because I just want more for myself and sometimes creatively the matches are structured a certain way. This place does not validate who I am as a person. I don’t want it to be the only thing I have that is my definition.”
She also talked about getting into the business at such a young age (she was 18 years old when she joined WWE in 2006), being born in Texas and moving to Florida at a young age, seeing her father physically abuse her mother, her mother and fathers drinking issues, her relationship and breakup with Wade Barrett, how she felt to be the first African-American to win a women’s title, not liking how she came off on Total Divas, anxiety and overthinking and how she can be self-destructive, her mother being on the street for 3 years, wanting to feel validated after being in WWE for 11 years, and more.

It’s a really good interview and Fox is brutally honest about her her life. I recommend for everyone to listen to the entire podcast in it’s full context. You can listen at podcastone.com.
Shane McMahon makes news for $500,000 investment in marijuana company
Shane McMahon is in the news but it’s not WWE-related. The New York Daily News reported that Shane McMahon filed a lawsuit last year against the owner of EviroGrow, a marijuana growing company based in Connecticut. McMahon invested $500,000 into the company in 2015.
The story broke because members of Donald Trump’s administration have been adamant about not wanting to legalize medical marijuana. The story ties in the fact Shane is the son of Linda McMahon, who is the head of the Small Business Administration under Trump.
Joseph Palmieri started EviroGrow in 2012 to sell modules that help marijuana growth in states where it’s legal. The lawsuit was filed by McMahon after he went to the manufacturing plant in Colorado and found out that it was virtually nonexistent. McMahon demanded Palmieri to return his investment and the lawsuit was filed when he refused to give the money back. Palmieri is denying the claims made in the suit and EviroGrow CEO Dan Williams claims that the company has orders in four states.
Linda McMahon has denied requests for comment.
Update on how long Jinder Mahal will be WWE Champion
As noted weeks ago, WWE was planning on touring India in December. Well, those plans are now official as WWE announced on Monday that they will be running shows at the Gandi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi, India.
This will be a Raw-branded show but WWE Champion Jinder Mahal will be wrestling on the show since he is being promoted as their major babyface. Names also listed for the show include Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.
Mahal has been champion since May and it doesn’t look like he will be dropping anytime soon. One of the main reasons why they put the title on him is because they wanted him as champions when they ran shows in that part of the world due to WWE’s expansion. If he drops the title to Shinsuke Nakamura then he will win it back before the tour. But most likely, he will retain the title at HIAC and not drop it until January, at the earliest.
I would expect The Singh Brothers and Kavita Devi to appear on that show. Devi competed in the Mae Young Classic and is under contract. She’s a former powerlifter who gained attention after going viral after one of her matches at The Great Khali’s wrestling school went viral.
Here are the shows scheduled as part of the tour:
12/6 – Abu Dhabi, UAE
12/7 – New Delhi
12/8 – New Delhi
Corey Graves’ brother has some words for Enzo Amore
Earlier, we posted Enzo Amore’s response to Corey Graves after Graves joked that he failed at being a father after his son did Amore’s dance during a baseball game. If you missed it, click here to see the original Twitter exchange between Graves and Amore.
Graves’ brother Sam Adonis was not happy with Amore’s comment and responded via Twitter:
Maybe it's Time I go Back to WWE and kick this idiots teeth down his throat!!? https://t.co/SOeqtooJ4n
— Sam Adonis (@RealSamAdonis) October 1, 2017
Adonis wrestles for the CMLL promotion in Mexico. The tweets were not set up by WWE and I doubt that they would want to call attention to the fact that Graves was forced to end his wrestling career due to concussions.
Adonis was under a developmental deal in 2011 but after two matches, he suffered a knee injury and was later released.
Ahmed Johnson makes a bizarre claim about The Rock and his father
Ahmed Johnson rarely does interviews but when he does, you can expect some controversial things to be said. He talked about several people that he worked with in the wrestling business including Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and The Rock.
Johnson revealed that he once had a backstage scuffle with The Rock:
“What happened was, he was back in the locker room and I was already back there on the other side of the lockers, so, he couldn’t see me. And he walked in there with Triple H and Shawn, and they were all talking and they were making black jokes, and they didn’t know I was there. When Triple H said, ‘Man, we were joking Rocky, we were joking,’ and Rock said, ‘That’s okay, people look at me and think I’m black. I’m not black, man. My [mom] had an affair on my dad with a white man. That’s my dad. The white guy is my dad.’
“He was serious as a heart attack. So I stepped from around the locker and said, ‘What you just say?’ He said, ‘Aw, aw, nothing, man, you know just here bulls–tting,’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I heard you over there selling that bulls–t, man. What did you say about your dad? You mean to tell me this man bust his ass for us to be in this federation, and you’re denying him?’ Then he got cocky and said, ‘Man, this ain’t none of your business’ Once he said that, we went for blows. After that, Ron Simmons and Papa Shango broke it up.”
Johnson told a different version of the story in a shoot interview with HighSpots in 2006. This version (see below) does not reference DX or The Rock’s father so one of these stories (or both) are not accurate.
In the same interview, Johnson also responded to Teddy Long supposedly calling him an idiot. He said that he never met Long in his life and has never been in the same room with him but promised that if Long ever goes to Houston (Johnson’s current residence) then he would “slap him in the fucking face.” In the same interview, he ripped on The New Day’s act and said that Vince McMahon has them acting like clowns in a car and they are just “shucking and jiving” for him.” Someone should tell Johnson that The New Day came up with a lot of what they do on TV.
So, would he want closure with Vince McMahon? Johnson said, “As a man, I would want closure with any man. If could make closure with any man, I would want that. As a man and as a Christian, I would want that. But as far as me kissing your behind, forget it. Naw. That ain’t even gonna happen.”
It’s not the first time that he’s said controversial things in interviews. Back in 2013, he was quoted as saying that Vince McMahon is racist “from the word go” and “I had no idea of what he was. You know, I always say The best trick the devil ever pulled off was hiding in plain sight. If you read the Bible, everything the devil ever did he didn’t hide. He did it in plain sight. That’s Vince McMahon.”
Former WWE star/current Impact star to retire next month
Earlier this year, Gail Kim noted that this would be her last year as an in-ring competitor. It looks like Bound For Glory will be her last match. She will be one of the participants in a Four-Way match for the Impact World Championship that also features champion Sienna, Taryn Terrell, and Allie.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Gail talked about her desire to finish her career on her own terms:
“I wanted to come back because if you ask any wrestler, we all wanna finish on our own terms. That’s what I want. I want to close this door myself. I just worked so hard to get to this point. I just really wanted to end it on my point. What I missed most about being away was just being in the mix, the fans, being in front of the fans [and] the adrenaline that you get from just the performing [and] just pushing yourself to the limit. That’s what I miss the most.”
Here is a clip from the July 13th episode of Impact Wrestling where she talked about her retirement plans. Kim had been dealing with an injury that forced her to take time off for several months. Hopefully, this retirement means that a WWE Hall Of Fame induction is in her future.
This year’s Bound For Glory will take place at the Aberdeen Pavilion in Ottawa, Canada on November 5th. The show will air live on pay-per-view.
