On the August 1, 2025, episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Psycho Clown and Mr. Iguana made their WWE debuts.
The segment began with Santos Escobar, alongside Los Garza (Angel & Berto), in the ring. Escobar issued an open challenge for Los Garza’s AAA World Tag Team Championships. Psycho Clown and Mr. Iguana then entered the arena, answering the challenge and making their first appearance on WWE programming.
Match Highlights
The match began with Psycho Clown facing Angel. Psycho Clown executed a hurricanrana and a springboard crossbody. Later in the match, Mr. Iguana tagged in and performed a helicopter spin on Berto, followed by his signature “Iguanarana.” Los Garza gained control after they caught Mr. Iguana during a dive attempt and sent him into Psycho Clown on the outside.
Back in the ring, Los Garza performed a super MTY from the top rope on Mr. Iguana, which resulted in a two-count. The match concluded when Los Garza performed their MTY finisher on Psycho Clown to secure the pinfall victory. With the win, Los Garza retained the AAA World Tag Team Championships.
Mr. Iguana’s WWE debut had been the subject of speculation following a well-received performance at the WWE x AAA Worlds Collide event. This match marked the first time the AAA World Tag Team Championships have been defended on WWE programming.
