CM Punk: Bron Breakker Is “One Of Those Blue Chip Prospects That We Always Like To Talk About”

Despite their rivalry as leaders of opposing factions, WWE World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk has a high opinion of Bron Breakker’s potential, praising the young star as an athlete with all the necessary tools for success.

Speaking on the Mostly Sports With Mark Titus and Brandon Walker podcast, CM Punk gave a straightforward, strong evaluation of the second-generation superstar. “He’s somebody I think you wouldn’t be able to stop if you tried,” Punk stated. “He’s got all the tools. Second-generation superstar. His dad and his uncle were possibly one of the greatest tag teams of the ’80s and ’90s. He’s one of those blue chip prospects that we always like to talk about.”

Breakker is the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner, who were one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history, known collectively as The Steiner Brothers. Breakker’s rivalry with CM Punk began with Breakker’s arrival on Raw in April 2025, when he attacked Punk and later formed the heel stable The Vision with Paul Heyman and Bronson Reed.

The animosity escalated over the summer, notably with Breakker and Bronson Reed defeating Roman Reigns and Jey Uso at SummerSlam. Breakker’s heel stable has also defeated a team that included Punk and Sami Zayn.

The rivalry is set to come to a head this month. Breakker, aligned with Drew McIntyre, Brock Lesnar, Logan Paul, and Bronson Reed, will face CM Punk’s team—Cody Rhodes, The Usos, and Roman Reigns—in the Men’s WarGames Match.
