CM Punk Responds To Kevin Nash’s Criticism With Hilarious Moment At WWE Event

CM Punk took a playful jab at one of his critics during a WWE live event in Fort Myers, Florida. The World Heavyweight Champion, who has been the subject of recent criticism from WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash, used his ring gear to deliver a silent but effective rebuttal.

During his match against Bronson Reed at the Road to WrestleMania live event, Punk teased the crowd by preparing to take off his signature t-shirt. However, upon removing the top layer, he revealed that he was wearing a second t-shirt underneath, sparking laughter from the audience. The spot was a direct nod to Nash’s recent comments criticizing Punk for wrestling in a t-shirt while holding the company’s top prize.

Nash did not hold back his opinion regarding Punk’s presentation following the December 22 episode of Monday Night Raw. Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, Nash critiqued Punk’s physical condition and choice of attire.

“I watched (CM) Punk in the main event of that match last Monday,” Nash said. “Number one, if you’re the Heavyweight Champion of the WWE and you wrestle in a t-shirt? Ouch. Number two, his punches looked really slow, he looked slow. I think he’s done.”

Despite the criticism, Punk successfully defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Bronson Reed in Fort Myers.

Punk is scheduled to defend the World Heavyweight Title against Breakker on the highly anticipated one-year anniversary edition of Monday Night Raw on Netflix. That show will take place on January 6, 2026, live from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Nash, however, believes that Punk’s reign should end there. “I think Bron (Breakker) should beat him,” Nash stated.
